All That's Needed is a Nudge
Nudgies Greeting Cards, an inextinguishable flame, continues to give light and love with just a gentle touch.
July 5, 2004 -- When the launch button was hit making the Nudgies Greeting Cards website, www.Nudgies.com, live it was a bittersweet moment for the line's creator Peggy Eldridge-Love. Just weeks before Nudgies had been at the center of what looked to be a very exciting and potentially profitable new turn in its modest thirty year plus history. But the exciting turn had melted down into a river of tears of disappointment, and, for a moment, it looked as though Nudgies would have to be returned to the quiet, dark, dusty little shelf where it had been resting for so long, awaiting its opportunity to shine once more.
The fact that less than two weeks later Nudgies Greeting Cards' light is shining brightly, offering an invitation to the world to freely partake of its sentiments and emotions, is a testament to the validity of its inextinguishable mission to bring love and understanding with "just a few simple words".
The slender stick characters that comprise the unique card line's designs began their trek across the greeting card landscape in the late 1970's and, because of the fundamental nature of both Nudgies messages and their design, have changed little through the decades. Messages like, 'Oops, my heart didn't mean what my mouth said!' and 'I'm going to be with you when you're on top of the world, or the world is on top of you!' mean as much today as ever. Nudgies Greeting Cards' day, it appears, has in fact truly come.
